Preserving the living heritage of 410+ tribal nations through authentic art, education, and community.
Our Story & Mission —
For more than five decades, the North American Indian Information & Trade Center has worked to preserve and promote the living traditions of Native peoples across the United States, Canada, and Alaska. Led by Founder and Director Fred Synder, our Co-Operative represents over 2,700 Native American artists from 410+ tribal nations, supporting authentic arts, culture, and education through events, publications, and outreach.
We host some of the largest Native American arts exhibitions in the Southwest, publish trusted reference books used by libraries and cultural institutions nationwide, and provide information services connecting the public with Native organizations, events, and artisans.
Our mission is to honor and sustain 10,000 years of Native heritage while creating opportunities for artists and cultural educators today.
